Administrator – Scaffolding

Purpose/Job Summary:
The scaffolding administrator is responsible for supporting the scaffolding department with clerical jobs and administrative tasks, serving as a main point of contact.
They are responsible for keeping office documents organised and they perform a range of tasks to support the staff they work with.
Their duties typically include but are not limited to data entry, retrieval, and database maintenance; filing and archiving; managing documents and spreadsheets; customer support for clients, answering their queries and resoling their issues.
Administrators are vital to keeping the department running smoothly.

Duties & Responsibilities
– Manage and coordinate own workload, ensuring deadlines are met
– Perform administrative tasks to support the team such as data entry, updating and maintaining database/ spread sheet applications, photocopying, scanning of documents in an efficient, professional, and courteous manner.
– Provide excellent customer support to clients ensuring any queries and issues are resolved
– Maintenance and organisation of office files, both physical and electronic
– Communicate and provide information by relevant methods internally and externally to assist and enable company operations and effective service to clients and suppliers.
– Interpret instructions and implement administrative policies and procedures.
– Adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility.
– Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to health, safety, emergency arrangements and quality management.
– File data and perform other routine clerical tasks as assigned and for Directors and Managers as required.
– Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role
– Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers, and visitors.

Qualifications required

- English & Maths GCSE or equivalent - Previous experience in a similar role i.e., administration - Proficient in Microsoft packages (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to work well under pressure and in a timely manor - Ability to work well within a team as well as the initiative to work sufficiently alone - Approachability/ excellent people skills - Attention to detail and accuracy in completing administrative tasks - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle confidential information with discretion - Positive attitude for greeting clients - Familiarity with scheduling and organisational software
