Job description
We’re Hiring! Scaffold Design Engineer required. (Glasgow)
We are currently hiring a Scaffold Design Engineer to work within an existing team based in Glasgow. Reporting to the Design and Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the production of scaffold design schemes on a wide range of commercial and industrial scaffolding projects throughout the UK.

Responsibilities
• Production of engineered drawings using the latest AutoCAD and 3D software supported by calculation using structural analysis software.
• Ensure all design documentation is in accordance with the company procedures and all relevant British and European Standards.
• Liaise both externally with client representatives and internally with company operations, QSHE and engineering in the production of designs.
• Checking of other internal designs (Level dependent)
• Management of design project deadlines and budgets.
• UK-wide travel where required for site meetings and surveys.
• Compliance with company policies and procedures.
Knowledge, skills & experience
• Experience in design and checking of temporary works preferred level depending.
• Proficient in the use of AutoCAD
• Experience in REVIT beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of the industry regulations, standards, and technical and safety guidance.
• Efficient written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience using Frame Analysis software as well as the ability to check the structural integrity and stability using hand calculations from first principles.
• MS Office experience specifically Excel essential.

Minimum Qualifications/ Experience
• Experience in design and checking of temporary works preferred level depending.
• HNC, HND, BSc or MSc in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Proficient in the use of AutoCAD
• Experience in REVIT beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and technical and safety guidance.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Good stakeholder management and communication skills: Able to build and develop good quality professional relationships.
• Ability to work openly and collaboratively to maximise overall organisational health.
• Good commercial acumen
• Well-organised and responsive
• Ability to understand the broader business-wide perspective.
• Proficient IT skills including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
• Capacity to learn.

• Responsible for: The production of scaffold design schemes on a wide range of commercial and industrial scaffolding projects throughout the UK for Enigma Industrial Service Ltd.

Work Location
• Port Dundas Trading Estate, Glasgow
Working hours
Typically, you’ll work office hours Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30, 37.5 hours per week.
Salary & Rewards
Basic Salary: £32k to 36k (Dependent on experience) + Car scheme
Management Tier: 4
Pension: up to an 8% contributory by Company / Employee pension or equivalent AE Pension
Relocation: Not available
Holidays: 25 Annual + 8 Days Bank Holiday
Notice: 3 Months.
