CISRS Trainee Scaffolder / Apprentice
Role
To work under direct supervision of qualified CISRS scaffolder and complete the industry recognised training and competency programmes in order to qualify as a CISRS Scaffolder.
Responsibilities
- To attend approved training providers carrying out practical and theoretical training
- Gather relevant work-based evidence for their portfolio.
- To follow the guidance and instruction of their mentor/charge hand
- Roles will also include general labouring tasks, loading/unloading and maintenance of scaffolding equipment and materials
- When on site they should be able to work within a gang providing support for qualified scaffolders or more experienced trainees.
- Trainees must not under any circumstances work on incomplete scaffolds until they have received appropriate work at height training and are under direct supervision of a suitably qualified scaffolder.
- They should not under any circumstances operate plant or machinery unless receiving the specific training to do so.
Typical day
Lots of physical work is guaranteed and will involve supporting the scaffolders with any of the responsibilities described above.
Key skills
Should also be physically fit, have good communication skills, be punctual, organised and diligent.

CISRS Trainee Scaffolder / Apprentice
Expected salary
£17,500 up to £20,000.
Qualifications required
No formal qualifications are required but NASC members would expect the COTS qualification or registration on an apprentice programme as a minimum.
